“Hutspot” was the stamppot taught to The Soft Protest, Digest by Tjobo Kho. It mainly consisted of a combination of potatoes, carrots and onions, mashed together. Hutspot is said to be the first ever stamppot.

Facts & stories
“Hutspot is Lotte’s least favorite variation of stamppot. Tjobo loves it however. What he also loves is a childhood memory: the souvenir of his grandmother allowing him drop the peeled potatoes into the pot of cold water. Today is the first time he cooks it his own way, his own version. At one point he add’s too much pepper, but realizes that is actually quite good. He says it gives a bit more spiciness to this relatively simple Stamppot (carrots and potatoes). We notice a confident smile on Tjobo’s lips. After going for a final taste, Tjobo says “yeah” casually, to let us know it’s ready.”
