Free vegetable stock!
Since we discovered the trick we cannot get enough of it!
No work, no trash, unlimited vegetable stock.
Any time you peel vegetables or fruits, place the scraps in a container in the freezer rather than in the bin. The scraps will stay in perfect condition until needed. When your container is full, place the scraps in a pot covered with water (the better the vegetables, the sweeter the fruits, the better the stock).Simmer for about an hour or more and strain.
Add oil, salt and chili and miso paste, or anything you find tasty really. Place in a glass bottle in the fridge or in a plastic container in the freezer until needed.
A real tasty stock, full of nutrients to add to a soup, to cook pasta in, to make béchamel with, you name it!
